Make forest school special by giving each child a wood cookie to create his / her own forest school necklace. It is important that the children see forest school as something special and different. Each child can write his / her name and / or draw a picture on a wood cookie which can then be threaded with string to make a necklace. This is a great activity for the first forest school session. The necklace can then be worn during each session. It also helps volunteers to get to know the names of the children. These cookies have holes already drilled into them. They can also be used for threading activities for the outdoor classroom.
